Gone but Not Gone Really

Put your fears to rest for Phatgirl is alive and well and still under the cardio-manic care of D_wn, personal trainer extraordinaire. I just haven't been blogging about it because there are only so many ways to add a creative, spell-binding spin to "I did 50 minutes of cardio on the treadclimber." Even I, the great rambling blogger that I am, have my limits.

Since April, when last I posted, life has continued on, the big event being our recent trip to Greece which, of course, I blogged about each step along the way for family and friends. If you'd like to go on a cyber visit to Greece, then by all means, just click on over to

That's all for now my little jogging, walking, running peeps!

DITTO!!! I had forgotten you were going to Greece. I was beginning to wonder if you got your feelings hurt or worse you were hurt or sick. I'll have to check out the big fat Greece vacation.

You add a funny twist to my day. Please post more often. Even if it the same old same old.

Welcome back to the boring USA!

I want you to know that I enjoyed your trip immensely! ( via your travel log)

In fact you gave me the inspiration to do a little traveling myself.
I'll be revealing more of my crazy scheme in the coming days.

Hope to see you guys in Portland in October!

Hi Teacher Anita! How long has it been since you've been called that.. :) You crossed my mind today, so I googled you and this blog came up! Haven't seen you since I was in grade school, but I hope you're doing well, and I think I can still say Psalms 23 from the ABC kids club in Kindergarten! haha -Catherine Faulkner

How fun to hear from you and what a delight to see your photo! You don't look all that different from when you were five...the smile is certainly the same :)

If you check back here on my old blog please drop me an email at so I can get your email address and drop you a note in return. I'd love to connect with you again.

I've never stopped teaching children over all these years though usually they call me "Anita" or "Teacher" but seldom the two put together. That was a special name for a very special time I spent with one incredible group of children who somehow have managed to grow into young adults while I haven't aged at all :)

Much love to you Catherine!

I love to walk. It's refreshing and allows me the time to really think. So I decided to try these weighted shoes from

As an avid walker, I soon noticed a few differences in my steps. My heart rate was higher, my feet were comfortable even after a few miles and I began to lose weight more quickly then before. Just wanted to share. Feel free to let me know what products you recommend.
